Iiis possible that the north fort may yet for some time defy the victorious allies. In a supplement to the Moniteur the follow ing despatch to the French Government from Gen. Pellissier, appears: Carabellnaia and the south part of Sebasto pol no longer exist. The evening preceding our solid occupation of the Malakoff; the Russians dicided to evacuate the place after having dcstrovei and blown it ud bv mines. llavin passed with my troops I can assure you that everything in the Carabellnaia is blown up, and from what I can see the same must be the case in the front of our attack. This immense success reflects, the highest honor on our troops. Everything is now quiet on the Tehernaya. Kussian Account. The following dispatch from Prince Gortschakoff is dated the 9th: The garrison of Sebastopol, after sustaining six assaults from the enemy, we could not drive off the enemy from the Malakoff. Our brave troops fought to the last extremity, and are how crossing over to the northern part. The enemy found nothing in the southern part bat blood-stained ruins. On the 6th of September the postage to the north side was made with the loss of no men. We left, I regret to say, 500 men previously wounded on the southern side. 4 Dispatches from tfcc fcllicd generals detail important profceedihgs subsequent to the capture of the south side of Sebastopol. Pellissier describes the appliances for the defenses as altogether beyond belief, and ex ceeding by far anything ever seen in the history of war. Gens. MacMahon and Frocher are said to be among the killed, and Gen. Bosquet either killed or wounded. Pellissier had been created a Marshal of France. The London Times suggest? the celebration of a day of thanksgiving on account of the fall of Sebastopol. It was rumored that the allies found 1,200 guns within the walls of Sebastopol. Also, that the Russians were falling back on Backshazcrt. French rumors say Gortschakoff will certainly hold the north side of Sebastopol to the last extremity. Also that' the allied admirals have sent a dispatch saying it is not expedient to enter the harbor of Sebastopol until Fort Constantino is silenced.
