UIVEU ITEMS. Rainbow rrired here from Louisville early Saturday afternoon. The trip before the last she had 150 passengers, which is strrrre evidence of her popularity and usefulness. , TrVe thank her clerk, for papers. We learn that the steamer Wm. öarvih' will soon enter the Evansviile and Louisville trade In opposiditon to the Rainbow. The Garvin is an excellent boat, but we do not think the Louisville and. Evansviile trade will ju(ifiy at the present the running of two boats of the size of these steamers. The Rainbow is doing her duty, and Capt. HMcrolt is the pioneer in the trade, so we should like to see ihctn supported. The Submarine No. 6, is at work on the wreck of ths Kentucky Home, and has removed 100 krgs oi nails and about 15 tons of dry goods from it.. It was also unanimously resolved, that agreeably to recommendations, a Territorial free State Executive Commit tee should call a convention, of five delegates to e cli representative appointed from the several districts 011 the 25th Ausrost, to meet at Big Spring on the 5th of September, for thi purposes recommended, and any other action njcessarv.
