Has been dry, mild and windy the past week. Rain is much needed in some quarters. Cloudy to-day and prospects ol rain. Business la groceries has been lively, with large arrivals of heavy goods; considerable has been doing in dry goods. There are now on hands first rate etcck? for the Country trade, and ! every inducement h offered in good selections land low prices. Business at the wharf has been onty moderately fair during the week. Freights are scarce not only at this point but at every other above. We notice, no particular charge in markets.
