There was a moderate demand for rye, and prices firmer though not quotably higher. The 'stock market in London was firmer and U. S. stocks had advanced; consols cbsedal9l&. The bullion in the bank of England had increased 192,500. tThe British ministry had resigned and there were indications of much difficulty in forming i'new one. There, waa considerable anxiety. Lords Palmerston, Russell and Landsdown wjie all talked of es candidates for Premier, but nothing definite had been arranged up to latest accounts. The three
