IIIHala Dankt. A few days ago thoracica of this city, with probablyone exception, concluded to throw out the notes of the Illinois State Stock Banks. This kas led us to direct spe cial! attention to these hanks, to ascertain how they re considered in other places. Knowing the nates of these banks to be has ed upon good interest paying stocks, and worth eery dollar they called for, we were z. little astonished that even if two or three of them had closed their doors, bank era acquainted at all with the system upon which these institutions were foanded, ahoald ie disposed to discredit the whole batch. To give a better idea of the Illinois system of free hanking, we extract the following card, which was published In Chicago during the late bank excitement: To the Public: The undersigned feels called upon, at this time of monetary excite ment, to make a public statement lor tne ben At nf aniK ntrannm mm ir nnl In f K waw rtf
