DIVISION OF 'I'll I'. PARTY. We had occasion to correct the Louisville Times last week in its assertion that the Democratic party North was not divided on the Nebraska Bill. It is true, such a correction was entirely unnecessary for the infor- . ! . r .1 B. I TT'" " " r-r-:..cle or notice in which probably illustrate. . the divi.ion in the Democratic party North ; on tnia question, as wen us anyin.n- which could be presented. There is no state in the Union in which party lines are more closely drawn than in Ohio, and there is no county a . i . ci . . i .1 m ' in inai oinie wnero me unnucmiB uru uiuru ultra in sustaining everything Locofocoish and opposing everything relating to Whiggery, than in Hamilton county, In which Cincinnati is situated. So if the Democrats of that county are divided on the Nebraska question, it may well be supposed Democrats in other counties, and further North, are not less divided on the subject, or rather are more concentrated in their opposition to the Bill. And if the Democrats of Ohio are divided on thia measure, it is useless to deny that the Democrats of all other Northern States are at leaat quite as likely to be honest in the formation of their opinions and as bold in their expression. An Anti-Nebraska meeting was held at Cincinnati, a short time since, and both par ties formed the meeting, the Democrats going just as far a. the Whigs. But the Democrats, it appear., were not satisfied with this demonstration, It was called a Whig and abolition demonstration just as our Nebraska meeting here, in which both parlies voted for resolutions strongly opposing the Nebraska Bill. So these Cincinnati Democrats called a meeting of Democrats in opposition to the Douglas scheme. The call is published in the Cincinnati Enquirer and is signed by nearly one thousand names. Among these are some of the most prominent Democrats in Hamilton county. The very first name is that of Jas. J. Faran, recently editor of the Enquirer, and one of the most influential members of his own party in the State. The Enquirer itself acknowledges the call is signed by leading men in its own party. This neeting came ofTlast Friday night, at Greenwood Hall. Mr. Remelin, well known as a leading German Democrat, and Democratic Representative, first addressed the meeting. He took the strongest position atrainst the Nebraska Bill. At the close of his remarks he said nine out of ten of the German population of Ohio were opposed to the Nebraska Bill. He said a convention of delegates from German societies in thirty or fcrty counties of Ohio was now in session in Cincinnati, and sent greeting to this meeting the following: The delegates of the convention of the German Reform Elements of the State of Ohio, in their session ot March 24lh, have Resolved, That we are fully in favor of the object of your meeting, which comes off this evening, as an expression of indignation ügainst the monstrous Nebraska Fraud, and promise our hearty co-operation against each and every extension of Slavery. By order ol the Convention. We can say the same for Indiana ninetenths of the German population are opposed to this Bill. Strong resolutions against the bill were adopted. But READ THIS, which we clip from the published proceedings. A resolution sustaining the present Democratic administration, was unanimously voted down: Mr.T. J. Gallagher offered the following resolution, by way of supplement to those presented by tho Committee. Resolved, That as Democrats, we desire to introduce no new tests by which to fix a standard of Democracy; whilst having oxpressed our sentiments freely, and without hesitation or (ear, on the objectionable features of the Nebraska and Kansas bill, we are not willing to reflect, even by implication, upon the abrlity and integrity of the present National Democratic Administration; recognize, as we do, in Franklin Pierce, a chief worthy to uphold the great banner of the Democratic party, and in his immediate counsellors, great statesmen and prudeut and careful guardians of the public weal. Mr. R ml in moved that the resolution he laid on the table, which was unanimously agreed to. We call the attention of our respectable neighbor to this "demonstration," and should like to hear his opinion on the subject. Ukcle Tom's Cabim Trolte, having been prevailed upon to remain in Madison two nights beyond their original engagement, will not be here before Thursday night, when they will positively perform at the Apollo Hall.

The result of the New Hamoshire election, though it took place several days sgo, appears to be stili in great doubt. The New Hampshire Patriot claims an administration victory, and the New Hampshire Statesman ciaims an cnti-ndministration victory. The Patriot professes to enumerate a majority of ten or twelve Democrats elected to the Legislature, but the Statesman soys that a considerable number of the persons thus enumented, although they may call themselves j Democrats, are bitterly opposed to Pierce and i nm t ubinet Had it not been for the position taken by the Concord Patriot and all the other administration organs in the State that the Nebraska bill was not an issue in the canvass, and that the Democratic supporters and the Democratic opponents of the bill would be regard ed and treated with equal favor, the administration party in the State would have been annihilated. Lou. Jour. Public Execution. Two young men were executed on the third day of the month, in one of the rural districts of South Carolina, for the murder of a slave. These two men, were what are called negro hunters, in the South. They had in their service a pack of bloodhounds, with which they hunted abscondiiifr negroes. The: 3 hounds were trained for the service; and, were as ferocious as they were savage. The two executed men, in roaming around the country for jobs, went imo the southern counties of Soutfi Carolina, where they were employed to arrest a runaway slave.
