only paper in this region which takes regu lar daily dispatches by Telegraph. It is thus enabled to furnish its readers in this vicinity with telegraph news and markets, long before they can be received through any other source. It contains a large quantity of reading matter, and will be enlarged sometime during the next volume. In Weekly Journal. We call the particular attention of business men in neighboring towns interested in Evansville and its markets, and in telegraph markets from other cities, to the Tri-Wee!;ly Journal. This paper is issued every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It contains all the reading matter in the Dailies, each Tri-Weekly of course containing two Dailies with carefully corrected Evansville Prices Current, Telegraph markets and news, ex pressly for the Journal.&c. &c. We are sure business men in this region can obtain full markets, &.c. earlier through the Tri-Weekly Journal, than any other source. A number of our subscribers to the Weekly engaged in mercantile business, have changed to the TriWeekly, and we think others might find the change very acceptable. The price of the Tri-Weekly is 4 per annum, in advance. Kai t road Business. The Evansville and Crawfordsville Railroai is doing a large business at this time, as it has been for some time. It has all it can do and more too. We learn that every wagon thai can be procured is engaged in hauling frtight to the depot at Vincennas, aud said depot is overflowing. There is 60 much produce awaiting shipment on the Wabash, that it cannot be got out for a long period even if !
the river should be in a good stage, and thejBrough road) has passed both brandies of the
number of boats in the trade doubled. Freights are consequently high, and every body in the vicinity of the road is desirous of using that method of conveyance for their ; 0 1 produce, to reach the Ohio river. Every i train of cars comes in loaded. More cars are needed. We presume the stockholders I in this road are not disposed to grumble at the prjapects now. Caaal Tolla, Ac. The Board of Public Works of Ohio in connection with the Directors of the canals in Indiana, have agreed upon a reduction of tolls on the Wabash and Brit Caaal. ia th two States, of from twenty to forty per cent from the rates of last year.
