M. Win. Secore's Letter to Dr. Hart: I have spent over three thousand dollars for medicine and medical attendance. 1 was advised to lake : a lour to Europe with him, which I did. I first visited England. 1 consulted the most eminent physicians there in res;eci to his case; they examined him and prescribed accordingly. 1 remained there three months without perceiving any change for live better, : which cost me about two hundred and fifty dollars, pocketed by the phyeician, and ihe most that I received was their opinion that my son's case was hopeless ' and Positively Inccrable. 1 accordingly left Enfland, traveled through Scotland, Germany and 'ranee, arid returned home in t ie month of November last, with my son as far fron) being cured as when 1 left. Doctor Hart: It is with no email degree of gratification that I am enabled to announce to you the complete restoration to health of my daughter, by the use of your Vegetable Extract. At the age of six years., (her age at present is sixteen) she was first attacked with this dreadful malady called Epileptic Fits; and pntil she commenced taking the Extract, she suffered with attacks ot fits, almost incessantly, and so severely as to threaten to drive reason from its throne, nd render her insane Idiotic. Physicians pronounced her incurable, and rauld do nothing more for her. We had almost despaired of a eure, when hearing of the remarkable cures performed by the Vegetable Extract, we determined to give it a trial. The result has exceeded our most sanguine expectation, as by its use she is free from a moat dread I ul malady, and restored to Perfect Health. Should any one feel desirous of seeing her, and ot ascertaining the particulars ol the case, such wih may be gratified by calling on or addressing a letter to me, past-paid, at my residence, t wo miles from the Village oi Yonkers, V estchester. New YorkO. C. DENSLOW, Yonkers N.Y. Teething. Worm, Costiveness, Scc. will produce this disorder. In all such cases the Vegetable Extract is the only medicine which can be relied on with any decree ot safety. Mothers who have small children should remember this. Max y a Child, the past year, who has suffered with this complaint, and has been given over by physicians to die, has been restored by the ue of but one bottle of Hart's Vegetable Extract. The child of William Anderson, North Fourth reet, Williamsburgh, aged 20 months, had fit conantly for eight weeks. A consultation of physians was cafled, who decided that tlie case was a hopeless one, and the child must die.- Whilst the child was in this dangerous stale Mr. Anderson called at my office and obtained a bottle of the Extract, administered it to the child, and the result was a per i.cct rstoration of health. The eon of Mr. Robert McGee, corner of Sullivan and Prince streets. New York, was severely afflicted with fits. In ibis case also the physician held a consultation and 'ecided that they could do no more and that nature must ffrct its own cure, or the boy i.ruwt die. Ttie Vegetable Extract was administered to him whilst in a lit, by one of the attending physicians. Its effects were almost instantaneous. .The fits was broken, and the boy restored to health. Mr. McGee says,"I shall nevcragain be without the medirtie in my house, it I enn avoid it, for lenr that some ,Uhe rtst of my children may be attacked in 'the t me way. 1 consider the medicine in valuable. From the Pitttbmrg Gazrttr. THE past summer (1847) has been a very remarkable one. Frequent and heavy rain, followed by intense and long continued heat, had thcerlect, in the first place, to promote a rapid growth of succulnt-J vegetation, and in the second to produce a rapid de composition of vegetable matter, giving rise to much iiiiHiia and spreading sickness, disease and death, n l's which had heretofore been remarkable for their sulubritv. We are credibly informed, that whole meadows, on which the grass was unusually heavy, rotted to the ground and was not fit to be cut. In Indiana and Illinois, the sickness was so general, that there was not enough well persons to attend upon the sick, whose sutti rings were protracted by a want of prop, er remedies, as well as of good nursing. Much of this suffering might have been prevented, had every fam ilr kcut on lutnd a supply of medicines suited to coun teract the ctlccts of this miasma, with which the atuivsphere at certain times is surcharged. In addt tion to Quinine, (which is i . such general use as to need no comment,) we would strongly urge every family to keep on hand one or more boxes of Dr M'Ia.nlsLiyer Pills." Thee Pills are the prescription of an eminontPhy ician in Moiiomrahala Co Virginia, and were used by him in his private practice as a remedy in billions complaints, lor years belore lie thought oi ottering them to tlie public. Such, however, was the success !o the Pills, and S4 great the numU-r oi persons beu efited by them, that the making of the quantity requi site to sttuiilv the increasing demand, began to inter tere materially wiih the time required to attend to hi practice. To prevent this he has made arrangements with ihe house of J. KidpAo Co. No. 60 Wood tr-Tt, Piifeburg, Pa. to prepare and vend them, where the genuine may be procured at all times and in any reasonable quantity. These Pills are not recommended as a panacea for 'all the ills that flesh is heir to," but in all affections d ihe Liver and in all bilious complaints, they stand without a rival. All who have ever used them, give ihe.ni the preference over all other Pills, and cannot be persuaded to v change those which they find experinee to ttc miui.ta . and tcct uai.tor any other, even thouzh they may te tu gar coated, or so drastic as to go "through by day light." Ketail by CRAWFORD BELL Main st. Evansville, Ind. Monthly Bulletin. Io.3. THIä world has ever been the scene of the fircest struirsrles between Truth and error. No sooner does Truth propound an important theory, than er ror, with its legion ol allies, seeks to arrest its progress. A most illustrious instance of this, was the opposition made to the immortal Jener. His mas ter mind was led. under Providence, to the discovery of Vaccination, by which that dreadful scourge, the rmnlt i,x, was robbet of its terrors. He found that the matter trom pustules upon the udder ot a cow contained a principle which would produce the almost divine results for which he had so patiently and anxously sought. Oppositon arose. Interested persons Iiiirh in social rank and professional itosition, ridicul ed what they dared not deny! They asserted that many vaccinated persons tecaine covered with hair, and even exhibited horns t and a tail; and that in one case a child ran on all fours, bellowing like a bull. But the current was soon turned. The British Parliament voted him 30,000 sterling ($100,000,) and the world sang his praises. The same spirit has come down to our own time. Even while we write this Bulletin, interested per sons, jealous of the wonderful efficacy and success ot The Graelenberg jiedicines, are opposing them. Misguided men! How utterly impossible to arrest their spread. The most extraor dinary certificates are constantly flowing in to the Company, from all parts of the country; certificates which have astonished the most respectable citizens. Many of these testimonials have been submitted to gentlemen ot great distinction, who have carefully examined them to see that they are ue.icine. Among these, are the names ot the Kev. N. Liangs, D. L., ol the Methodist Episcopal Church, and Francis Hall, Esq , editor of the New-York Commercial Advertis er. We finally submitted the whole to Ihe Hon. Wm. V. Brady, the Mayor of New York, who has given his certificate, under the Great Seal of the City, that they are genuine and reliable. With such names, we fear no opposition. We are fortified at every point, and solicit a continuance ot the unexampled patronage we have already received We would earnestly advise, 1st. That in every neighborhood where there is no Graefenberg Depot, immediate steps be taken to have one. By addressing the General Agent of any dis trict, this can be secured. Sd. Families should club together and get an immediate supply. 3d. Emigrant Societies and other philanthropic bodies should furnish them to the needy. Ot the liraetenberg Vegetable I'll Is alone, 30.000 boxes are sold each and every week! Ot the Health Bitters, an enormous Quantity, These extraordinary Bitters are sold at twenty-five cents a paper, and are warranted to make two quarts of Bitters superior to any in the world. They are composed of Roots, Barks, Herbs, and Vines, gathered in the vast forests and praries of America and are a speedy and certain restorative of weak and debilitated constitutions. The other Medicines of the Company are f equal value, nd are as follows: The Graefenberg Sarsaparilla Compound, the Graefenberg Eye Lotion, the Children's Panacea, the Green Mountain Ointment, tlie Consumptive's Balm, tlie Dysentery Syrup. 9r The General Agent (or Indiana is Myrus Seaton, to whom applications for agencies may be addressed, EDWARD BARTON, Secretary.
