DISEASE OF THE HEART, RUPTURE AND DROPSY New Y'onr. July, 22, 1316. Dr. Towssexd De ar Sir : My wife has been afflicted with a terrible rapjure for over Cltecn years, the greater pait of the time. She has been troubled with shortness ol breath &, great fluttering ot the heart which has been vry distressing, and has frequently been uuablc to leave her bed. The rupture was very large and severe. She tried almost every remedy for such cases with but little benefit. When she had taken but three bottles of your excellent medicine she was entirely relieved of the disease of the heart, and the rupture has almost entirely disappeared. She has also had the dropsy, and was very muclfj swollen. e had no idea that she could be so benefited, as she had such a complication of diseases, but it has, as strange as it may appear, relieved her of the dropsy. I am aware that this statement is so strange as to appear almost like fiction, but it is sober reality. Your Sarsaparilla is certainly a valuable medicine, and should be used by every one that s suffering os we have been. If any disbelieve this account, they are at liberty to call at my house and have ocular demonstration. Yours, respectfully, WILLIAM TOWSER, 1 Janics-sL DYSPEPSIA. LIFE being the greatest blessing, that w hich insurers it free trom the evil ot premature death must be of paramount importance. brandreth's Pills are altogether of Vegetablo composition, and while they possess remarkable powers in curing disease, are perfectly harmless, and can thus be used with perfect safety by persons of all ages, and in any condition of the system, with a cer tainty ot beneficial results lrom their operation, which is mild and pleasant, tho1 thoroughly search ing to the root of diseased action, and always icrmi natinir in a srreat increase ol health and viror. .Ninety-seven years they have been beiore the pub lie, and every succeeding year has increased the sohcre of their ureal usefulness. They are now ra tronized in every pirt of the civiliz'jd world; nor can envy nor detraction materially impair their well es tablished reputation. These celebrated Pills do not cure entirely by their purging qualities. They have in their composition a vegetable corpuscle, onalagous to the corpuscle of the blood; the corpuscle of vegetable origin, becomes incorporated with the mass ol the lite-giving fluid and IMPARTS a fermentative TOWER which occasions the blood to throw out all in fest ia poisonous, or peccant matters, thereby entirely puri lying the whole volume of blood in the circulation. And thus these 1 ills cure tho most fatal, and noxiou and harrassitig diseases, in a manner so cay and certain, as to cive great thankfulness to the af flicted. Every year their snle.has increased. Dr. Brandreth sells more of themnt this time in a month than he did in the whole of the year lfJd, or any previous year 1 ho sale having increased TW ELY E-FOLD IN TEN Y'EARS. Can any other medicine be pointed out that has sustained its reputation thut has increased in the confidence of the public in an eoual proportion? It would I a most happy thing for the poor, it the prejudices ot Medical men would permit their gene ral adoption in the public Hospitals. What a blest? ing this would be to the poor, and also to the w hole community in which the Hospitals are situated! No Ship Fver would Ions remain to poison our atmos phcre with its noxious exhalation! No malady no not even Choleia, would be of a dangerous character wi re lirandreth s 1 ills vigorously resorted to when the first of its symptoms were perceived. And Ship fever, and levers ot un inflammatory, or ot a typhoit character would be found equally under their power ful control. W hue influenza, small-pox, measles scarlet lever, and all the diseases of children would be atlairs requiring only a very few doses ot 1 ills, to entirely re-establish the patient's health. And in case of rheumatism and dropsy, and the various forms ol lun" disease, no medicine is capable of doinj more good; or whose use would tend more to the recovery ol health. TrJLsE Facts, Dr. Br andre ru proclaims, are SOLEMN TRUTHS. . Let our Legislatures and men in authority every where look to this. If these things be so is it not a part of their high duty to cause the Brandretli Pills to be used by our glorious Army and Navy, and in all public Hospitals Public opinion tells these honorable men, that such is their duty; and one of the most serious character in which is involved the security of many vuluaMe lives. During its brilliant career, it has been introduced into many families, wnereevery ouirr known and accessible Vermifuge had been tried without the least success, where it has promptly ex pelled worms to an almost incredible amount. Hear what the Editor of the Bulletin of the Pacific, (published in Pittsburgh, Pa.) says in reference to the article. uIn looking ud a few advertisements for mv small sheet, the other day, I called in upon Messrs. J. Kidd Sc Co. and remarking thed I would be glad to advertise any medicine that really was essentially useful, they lurnished me with their circular respecting JJr. JHT Lane's Worm Specific, with the accompanying certif icates. Feeling pursuaded that the certificates were genuine, I took some of the medicine home for the use of my own young family. I gave the first day a small leaspoonful to Sarah. Sne was wan-looking and black under the eyes. She passed several worms, some as arge as a pipe stem. 1 also gave a small teasjioontull Samuel, a little, rosy cheeked fleshy boy, about 31 years old. but as his stomach was tympanous, l. e. lie was pot-bellied, I thought he might have worms. He cried after more, whit h 1 did not see ht to give him, but unon the operation of this medicine, his mother and the neighbors were surprised at the result. He passed nearly a pint of worms, almost all as bij as a common pipe stem. There was seventy in all. From the Pittehurg Gazette. " THE past summer (1.47) has been a very remarkable one. Frequent ond heavy rain, followed byintense and long continued heat, had the effect, in tha first place, to promote a rapid growth of Eucculnt vegetation, and in the second, to produce a rapid de, composition of vegetable matter, giving rise to much nrna and spreading sickness, disease and death, int' fs which had heretofore been remarkable for - their salubrity. We are credibly informed, that whole meadows, on which the grass was unusually heavy, rotted to the ground and was not fit to be cut. In Indiana and Illinois, the sickness was so general, that there was not enough well persons to attend upon the sick, whose sutli rings were protracted by a want of proper remedies, as well as of good nursing. Much of thU suffering might have been prevented, bad every family kept on hand a supply of medicines suited to counteract the effects of this miasma, with which the atmosphere at certain times is surcharged. . In addition to Quinine, (which is in such general use as to need no comment,) we would strongly urge every . family to keep on hand one or more boxes of Da. M'IiAXE'sLivr.R Pills." These Pills are the prescription of an eminentPhysician in MonongahalaCo. Virginia, and were nsd by him in his private practice as a remedy in billious complaints, for years before he thought of offering them to the public. Such, however, was the success to the Pills, and so great the number of persons beuefuedby them, that the making of the quantity requisite to supply the increasing demand, began to interfere materially with the time required to attend to his practice. To prevent this he baa made arrangements with the house of J. Kidd &. Co. No. CO Wood Street, Pittsburg, Pa. to prepare and vend tbem. where the genuine may be procured at all times and in any reasonable quantity. These Pills are not recommended as a panacea for 'all the ills that fle.h is heir to," but in all affections of the Liver and in all bilious complaints, they stand without a rival. All who have ever used them, give them the preference over all other Pills, and cannot be persuaded to exchange those which they find experi ence to vi 'dd,tafe, and efftctual, for any other, even though they may bctusar coated, or so drastic as to go "through by day light." A most illustrious instance of this, was the , opposition made to the immortal JeNner.
