Mrs. N. Powell, president. The State Drive, a spiritual and financial meeting, will begin Monday night, August 21 and continue through the 31st. This meeting will be sponsored by the Bethel Baptist and Mt. Zion Baptist Churches. Both pastors will preach alternately- Singing groups from both churches will take part. Mrs. G. E. Johnson will sing each night. The meeting will start Monday night/ at the Bethel Baptist Church. The Spinisters Convention, under the direction of Mrs- Cora W. Steele, will be September 14, 8:30 p.m. Rehearsal will be at the church Sunday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. All persons taking part will please be present.
