last Saturday, promptly at the
expiration of the eighteen years, Mr. McGregor mile finsl settlement, turning over to the heirs, in round numbers, 9100,000 in personal and $40,000 in realty. During the time eight different additions to the town had been platted on the old homestead, about a hundred acres of which was converted in this way. Having seen the prospective growth of the town, and the corresponding advance in values, he made a wise provision for the benefit of his heirs. During his three years' management of the estate Mr. McGregor did not have to bring any suits to make collections. More money waa turned over in final settlement of the estate than any other in the probate history of the county. Certainly there have been'but few, if any, parallel cases of probate in the history of the state.
