The Arrangements for the League Games —The Terre Haute Players. A telegram was received from the Grand Avenues, the leading amateur club of Indianapolis, yesterday, express ing a desire to play Mr. H. F. Schmidt's club at the park to-day, but the time was too short in which to properly ad vertise the game. The time will be improved with practice at the park, as yesterday afternoon was occupied in the same way. Mr. Schmidt seems confident that he has a winning club, and the club is flushed with the success they have had with the Cook's, of Evansville. Although the new team have played but two games together, every man understands the game well and they play together splendidly. O'Brien, the new short stop, arrived in the city yesterday. Connelly, the last of Mr. Schmidt's players, is expected in the city to-day.

Messrs. Barnes, Wilmington, Dunn and Wood went to Decatur, 111., yesterday, having received word to report at once. Wilmington will pitch for the Decatur club.

The Clippers won two games on Sun day. In the morning they defeated the Silver Sides by a score of 12 to 2, and in the afternoon the Liberties, by a score of 22 to 13.

The Danville club defeated the Cham paign university club Saturday by a score of 3 to 2. Hannum and Schultz were the Danville battery.

The Danvilles and the Terre Hautes are meeting with

Buccess

from the be

ginning. The Terre Hautes intend to sustain their record beginning with next Thursday, at Bloomington, III.

The home club will leave for Bloomington to-morrow, to play the Blooming tons on Thursday.

Manager Schneider returned yesterday from attending the schedule meeting at Bloomington, and says that the schedule of games will be distributed within a few days. The following arrangements have been made for the home club, so far as remembered:

At Bloomington, May 30. Two games. At Decatur, Hay 31 and June 1. At Champaign, JuneS and 4. At Lafayette, June 5 and 6. At Danville, June7 and 9. At home, with Bloomington June 10 and 11, and then with the other teams of the league.

The season ends October 1. Terre Haute finishes with Decatur. Bloomington will play here July 4. Two games.
