The youngster accordingly put up his petitions, and then before closing with Amen," he added: "And please, God, make me a good boy."

Pleut.fr of Bearish News on Wheat In the Chicago Market. CHICAGO,April 16.—There was enough bearish news afloat this morning to start yesterday's buyers of wheat to selling. The result was a weak market, which soon became a very dull and stupid one. Hutchinson and Poole-Sherman furnished nearly all the support that It had. Cudahy was tbe only prominent seller, though there was a large quantity of small local selling orders on hand and speculators In the Northwest were also selling here. Beerbohm reported an Increase for the week of 890,000.bushels In the quantity of wheat and floor on oeean passage, foreign markets were a trifle easier, there were rains throughout tbe Northwest, and receipts at Minneapolis were 112,000 bushels. These large arrivals are supposed to be because the action of the mil ers then, who offer to take May wheat now without deducting anything for carrying charges for the remainder of the present month. A great deal of wheat has also come forward from Dakota, which was moved oat to avoid spring taxes. Northwestern elevator men &sy that receipts will continue large for two or th ee weeks yet Then 81,000 bushels wheat and floor e*ual to 40 000 bushels more cleared from New York yesterday. Baltimore cleared 31.003 barrels of flou^-tbe largest shipment for seme time. July wheat opened with sales anywhere between 82Uc and 82toc and In tbe course of an hour or so sold down to 81%e. There was fairly good buying below 82c and the price afterward rallied to 82 4 c.
There waa a good shipping demand for low grades of cash corn and foreign markets were llgher. Receivers were haying rather freely snd there appeared to be little of the grain for sale. Local receipts were 67 cars larger than tbe esti
