Th« Rev. Mr. Stewart's Resignation cepted—Oklahoma Boomers. Special to the Express.
BRAZIL. Ind., April 9.—The resignation of the Rev. T. Calvin Stewart's pastorate of the Presbyterian Church was unanimously accepted last Sunday, which, it is hoped, solves and quiets the wrangle between pastor and congrega tion.
The Clay circuit court is now engaged in a re-hearing of the case of Taylor Roberteon, Terre Haute, vs. John Hathorn, Cory. The parties some time ago were engaged in the grain business at Lockport, and, failing to agree on a settlement, Robertson brought suit, the case having been heard at the January term before Special Judge Holliday, and a judgment rendered the plaintiff for $1,277. A mistake was detected in com paring the figures and estimating the balances, which, when adjusted, would materially reduce, or even reverse, the judgment. Hence anew trial was ordered and the whole ground is being reyiewed.

New goods keep continually coming, Our dress goods department is crowded with every imaginable style of spring goods, new plaids, new striped effects, new shades of plain suitings, new shades opened of silk and all wool Henrietta cloths. Our gingham and sateen department contain choice styles that can be found only at our store. Last summer ladies often traveled over fifty miles to our store for their goods. We forwarded hundreds of dress patterns to Texas and New Mexico. Our present stock surpasses the best display of last season. We sell our best goods at moderate prices and want at least a portion of everybody's trade.
