The Oklahoma boomers, under the leadership of Mr. William Ladd, met at 521 Ohio street yesterday afternoon and considered the prospect for organizing a Hoosier colony from the Wabash valley. Twenty-six persons formed themselves into a colony, and will meet this evening at 7 p. m. at the same place.
Mr. F. Nippert yesterday submitted to the county recorder for record a plat of lot of Carpenter's subdivision. The new plat contains twenty-two lots, all of which have twenty-five feet front except the four-corner lots which have thirty feet front. The depth of the lots is 130 feet. The subdivision lies between Nineteenth and Twentieth streets and Locust street and First avenue.
Justice Thomas yesterday performed two marriage ceremonies, Charles Fu qua and Jennie French, both of Sandtord, the groom being a farmer and Andrew Neerman and Ella Pady, both of Indianapolis. The latter made the one hundredth couple he had married since being a justice of the peace, about two years. Some have paid him nothing, some paid 50 cents, but he thinks the average fee has been two dollars.

A. Cohen & Son, the popular tailors at 405 Wabash avenue, exhibit a novel window display. The price of each suit is represented by greenbacks attached to the goods. About one thousand dollars are thus shown. Between the great number of crisp $5's and $10's and the beautiful piece goods displayed, the window is exceedingly attractive.
