Mrs. Lucinda Smith was taken to the insane asylum yesterday by Sheriff Weeks. She was adjudged insane over a week ago by Drs. J. R. Crapo and T. C. Stunkard, Justices Felaenthal and Wildy. She has been trouble for along time with "melancholia."

A BEAUTIFUL WINDOW. The decoration of one of the windows at Hoberg, Root A Co.'s has never been surpassed in this city. It is the design of Mr. Louis Baganz and represents a soldiers' cemetery. Vsrious Indians regiments are represented, and at one side is a large broken column entwined with evergreens. There are other smaller monuments and a vault, and in the cen ter a tiny fountain serves to ksep the real sod green and fresh. There are miniature cannon and balls, and a picket fenee surrounds the whole. The window presented a picture yesterday that kept the sidewalk crowded.

In his charge to the jury in the Nelson will case at Minneapolis, says the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the judge said that "there was no testimony to indicate fraud oo the part of his wife or anybody else. The only question they were to consider was whether Col. Nelson at the time of the drawing up and signing of the will was of sound disposing mind. This tbev must determine from the evidence. The jury's ouick return with a verdict that the will was a good one, was somewhat of a surprise to all. To say that the defeated parties looked disappointed but feebly expresses it." Colonel Thomas H. Nelson and Senator V00rbees arrived home Saturday night.
