Albert J. Selbey was sentenced to two years imprisonment in the penitentiary and fined $100, in the Montgomery county circuit court, on Wednesday. Last year a man representing himself as thsP'ageDtof a New York firm, stopped at the house of John L. Swim, a Parke county farmer, living near Judson, and ottered to send him ten gallons of paint for which he would charge nothing, stipulating that It should be used by Swim, as an advertisement, in painting the roof about his premise*. The farmer agreed, and gove the paint man his address. Thirty days afterward Selliey appeared upon the scene and produced an order signed by Swim for 100 gullons of paint at $2.28 per gallon. Swim protested, and a compromise was finally effected, the former giving his note for 170 payable in ninety days. The transaction camo to the knowledge of the grand jury and Selbey wss arrested. The case was taken to Crawfordsville from Rockvllle on a change of venue. Selbey's home is in Plymouth, led., where Dingman lived, the lumber swindler who was also sent to the penitentiary from Orawfordsvlile, gome time ago.
