Indianapolis Journal: The railroad companies now seem to be in earnest in their efforts to adopt some method which will prevent the firing of coaches when an accident occurs. The apparatus that the Pennsylvania company have been experimenting on seems to be quite efficacious, if reports are true. It is tnus described: The stove carries a reservoir of water, leading therefrom to the firebox, so arranged that if the stove isoverturned in any direction the water wil! be emptied directly upon the bed of coals and extinguish the fire. The door of the stcve is self-locking, and suitable vents are provided for the vapors to escape that arse when the water is thrown upon the fire. _____

The E. & T. H. S»le.

The Evansville Journal of to day ays: "It is currently reported, with great appearance of truth, that the purchase of the E. & T. H. and E. & I. railroads was declared "off" yesterday noon (the limit of the option). The reason given is that $125 per $100 was the ultimatum as the asking price for the watered stock, which was considered too high."

There is another report that the option has been extended until Thursday. The Indianapolis Journal of yesterday says: "It is stated that Maclrey and Hellman sold their interests, in the Evansville & Terre Haute road for cash, and their interests in the Evansville & Indianapolis and the Terre Haute & Southwestern they received a one twenty-fourth interest of the entire capital stock of the consolidated lines. The new owners of the Evansville & Terre Haute are experienced railroad men and have ample capital, and will put the property in good physical condition at once."

FACT.

It is not commonly know 0 that a large proportion of the rheumatism and neuralgia extant is traceable directly to the iiseased condition or imperfect action ol ihe kidneys and liver therefore a remedy ffhich euros the resulting disease must have found and smitten the first cause. Many persons using Athlophoroa for rireuinatism and neuralgia have been surprised to find that clironic disorders of the liver and kidneys have also 'been greatly relieved and they have written for an explanation. The fact is, that, the Aimed}- acts directly on these organs, cleansing them from all irritating substances and regulating their action.^ Taken in connection with Aihlophoros Pills this is, without, exception, the most valuable kidney and liver remedy in the world, and will cure a large proportion of those who have these diseases.

Mr. W. B. King, dealer in sewing machines, Cor. Fifth and Columbia Streets, Lafayette, Indiana, says: "Athlopheros was magical in its effects npon nie. I was first taken with pain in the soles of uiv feet, and in a few hours was not -ilile "to walk at all. The rapidity with tfbich the disease spread aver my whole svbt.'Ri was wonderful, every bone, muscle, and joint in my whole body gave me the most intense pain. My arms were both drawn up, I could not walk, eat, or sleep. I suffered in this way for many weeks. Finally I was induced to try Athlophoros. had taken but a few doses when I had very decided relief. 1 continued with it until I had used six bottles and have no^ had a pain of rheumatism since, I consider my case a miracle and naturally feel very kindly towards Athlophoros."

Every druggist should keep Athlophoroa and Athlophoros Pills, but where they cannot be bought of the druggist the Athlophoros Co., 112 Wall St., New York, will send either (carriage paid) on receipt ol regular price, which is $1.00 per bottU for Athlophoros and 50c. for PillB.
