THE BOSS CBICKEN STORY.

.94 SSlTbe Eljbth l)itiict Chinktn Tale liil in ttie Shade. New York, November 15.—A board' ing house at No. 59 Ogden street, Newark, is kept by John H. Wbitten, who also runs a bar, while his wife, who weighs about 260 pounds, has charts of the house. There are eight male boarders.

Seven of the boarders were ft the table last ight, and Mir. Whilten was busy at aside table preparing some water ocesses when a roast chicken was placed on the supper table. Immediately one of the boarders reached over and seising the fowl laced it on his plate. Indignant remonstrance arose, hut the appropriator of the lonely foul announced his intention to hold on to it. There were three additional chickens in the kitchen ready for the table, but before the landlady could interpose a word the borders arose f.oni their seats and seising knives and crockery, a genersl fight began, some attacking the man with the fowl, and others defending him. Mrr. Witten screamed and ran from the room to call her husband, who, with great discretion remained on gbard over the property behind the bar In the fight the table was overturned and the crockery and food were scattered about and trampled to fragments. Attelepbcoe oali waa tent forth* police, who arrived in fifteen aainntes. All hat two Of ihe combatants had left the house.' Theasas Campbell was found with a guh fear inches long en his neck, running from his left ear to his windpipe.^ He wal bleeding badly. John Welsh had a bad cat en his head from some Instrument. Both his eyes were (13«ed, and his face had been pounded until it was amass of bruises and euts. The other boarders who eseaped we~e said to be more or lees battered. The dining room was a complete wreck, even the table being broken into fragment*.

If the food is not properly digested it beoomes corrupt, and poisons'the system it is intended to nourish. This is indigestion. "My wife has suffered for many years with indigestion. After trying everything else recommended, she tried Simmons Liver Regulator, iff three day* after taking it 'according to directions shews* in perfect health 'she doeg not suffer at all and can eat anything she wants without any of her previous symptoms."
