Ycfttr correspondent was shown a letter from Dr. Hatfield, of Darwin this morning in which he said there were seven cases of small pox just across the river from there and one in the township.

Hon. James T. Johnston, our next congressman, addressed the Republicans of Waveland Saturday night. He was met at the train by the Waveland cornet band and citizens en masse, with the white and colored escorts of Rockvilie, numbering over one hundred and fifty voters, headed by White's fine opera. band, and escorted to the Central house where he dined.
