As smallpox is within twelve miles of our city, it becomes my duty as secretary of the Board of Health to order all persons more than one year of age to be vaccinated and revaccinated. It is the earnest wish of the board that this order be strictly complied with, as many have been exposed. Remember that this embraces all persons more than one year of age, previous vaccination excusing no one.

WHAT WE GENTLEMEN WEAR
Styles in Gents' Famishing Goods Almost as Changable as a Woman's Hat.
On^f the largest and most complete stocks of gents' furnishing goods in the state can be found at Ford & Owens. This firm has devoted a great deal of time and taken great care to select for their patrons everything desirable in this line of goods. It is not, as some may suppose, a small matter to stock up this kind of goods as great care must be taken to get styles, shapes, colors, Bizes and always keep a full assortment on hand. Styles in gentlemen's furnishings are almost as changable as the much talked of "woman's hat" and the live merchant must always have the newest thing out One might suppose that the large merchant tailoring and clothing business done by this firm would take too much time for them to pay much attention to their small goods department, bnt this ib not so. The gents' furnishing department is in charge of a clerk whose business it is to keep the stock thoroughly up and the proprietors themselves spend much time in purchasing and arranging these goods. Ford & Owens' underwear department is in itself a large business they carry every description of these goods fiom the cheapest to the very finest. Other goods including umbrellas, collars, cuffs, cuff buttons, shirt studs, pins, shirts, ties, scarfs and, in fact everything a gentleman would wish to wear can be found in endless variety.
