Dyspepsia is BAD. BAD in its effects on the disposition. The man who can't comfortably digest his dinner is not a delightful companion. 3AD in its effects on the household.
It sets people at variance with cach Other and makes them irregular and unreasonable. BAD in its effects on the purse.
A dyspeptic business man can't manage his*affairsas prosperously »*a on. with a healthy stomach.
Brown's Iron Bitters is GOOD. GOOD in its effects on the dyspeptic. It gives him a sound digestion, and enables him to enjoy the food he swallows. GOOD in its effects on the family.
It drives dyspepsia out, and witl it the whole company of little demons that make home unhappy. GOOD in its effects on business. "With a sound digestion a man can face and overcome worries and troubles which would wreck a dyspeptic.

TATLOB ACQUITTED.
The End of His Trial at Bookvllle on the Charge of "Abortion.
Special Dispatch to the Express, swims.* »•. ROCKVILLE, Ind., February 15.—The evidence in the Dr. Taylor malpractice case was concluded to-day noon. Speeches by the attorneys were done away with, except discussions on points of instruction to the Jury. The case was given to the Jury at 3 o'clock, and after being out three hours returned a verdict of not guilty.
ANOTHER ACCOUNT.
In the celebrate^ case of the "state" of Indiana against Dr. Taylor of this city, the prosecution broke down with their first witness. On the conclusion of the testimony for the defense Judge McNutt offered to submit the case to the Jury without argument. After some hesitation and much consultation the prosecution agreed to this proposition. The Jury were out eighteen minutes and returned a unauimous verdict, of acquittal, upon which all were agreed from the first ballot.
Judge Maxwell won golden opinions from all sidf for his ready, fair, correct and lawyer-like decisions. He should be made the next Judge of the Twenty-second Judicial district.
The Jury consisted of some of the best farmers of Parke county. They considered the testimony for the defense overwhelming.

Special to the Express. SALINE CITY, February 15. To-day while John Perkins and Martin White were chopping in the woods near here, White's ax caught on a limb and swung around, cutting PirkiUB on the left arm very severely. The ax struck him on the muscle near the shoulder, almost com pletely severing the muscle from the shoulder to the elbow. Dr. Griffith dressed the wound and pronounces it a very severe one, but not necessarily fatal unless fever should set in.

ROUND ABOUT.
What is Happening in Western Indiana and Eastern Illinois. Vincennes News: The new City Directory places the population of Vincennes at between ten and eleven thousand.
Clay City Independent: The railroad election advertised for the 28th inst., as we have been told, has been withdrawn. The representatives of the road came to see that the proposition to run on the track of the lerre Haute & South Eastern would defeat the tax,
Sullivan Democrat: Last December a youth named W. H. Felkner, said to hail from Gill township, this coupty, was married to a gay cyprian named Alice Deal, by a justice of the peace of Terre Haute. In January he commenced a suit for divorce in the superior court, alleging adultery on tne part of his wife. Last week the woman was again married to another man by the same justice, although the divorce has never been granted.
Fountain County News.
Covington Special. Samuel F. Miller died suddenly at his home in this place, Tuesday night, of paralysis. At the time of his death he was deputy clerk, and one of the best and most efficient officers that ever filled that position. He was a Democrat, and several times honored by the Democracy of Fountain county with offices of trust, [n 1861 he was elected recorder, and re-elected in 1865. For twelve years he has acted as deputy clerk, and no man ever stood higher with the people or the bar than Samuel F. Miller.
The citizens of Covington yesterday morning raised a purse of $51.50, which was sent to the flood sufferers.
The Democracy of Fountain county are divided in their choice for governor, the preference being, first, tor Colonel Gray second, General Manson then follows Holuian.
Danville Officials Indicted, Danville Commercial. The grand jury at its recent session indicted those members of the city council who voted for the fountain to be located upon the public square, and the superintendent of the water works. The defendants are Mayor L. T. Dickason, Aldermen McReynolds, Hankey, Blackburn, Pollock and Martin, and J. J\I. Carson, superintendent of the water works. They are indicted for nuisance. A bench warrant was issued fer their arrest, which was duly served.
There are really ao objection to rne fountain, but many think it should have been placed in the northeast angle of the square, and not in the center of the square. In regard to its removal "we shall see what we shall see."
Death From Lockjaw. f::
?rawfordsvlll6 News. Herbert Smith, who has been suffering with tetanus for several weeks, is dead- His case was a very distressing one. While employed as a brakeman on the Yandalia he had several fingers mashed and was first taken to Terre Haute for treatment. Tetanus, or more commonly known as lockjaw, set in and he was brought here for medical aid. Nothing could save him, but everything that could be done to relievo his suffering was done. Mrs. Pruitt tended him like a good mother and aided the physician very much in lessening the young man's agony. He was but 22 years of age. rf
We understand that seal-skin coats are going out of style, and in consequence, colds are increasing among the fair sex. How fortunate there is such a remedy as Dr., Bull's Cough Syrup!
