The following is a true copy of a message from General Harrison when governor of Indiana, and as it may be of interest to the readers of the Express, I copy it from the orlginai in my possession: "Gentlemen of the Legislative Council and gentlemen of the House of Representatives: I have long thought lhatour laws arc unnecessarily vigorous to insolvent debtors. If I do not mistake, there is scarcely an article even of the greatest necessity that is not subject to execution for debt. To take from the debtor those alleles which only contribute to Ills ease and convenience is no doubt proper, but I should suppose that justice ought with these bo satisfied, and humanity strongly pleads in favor of leaving a distressed family a few articles which are indispenslble to their existence. I recommend to you, gentlemen, to take the subject under your consideration. A bed, a cow and a few cooking implements are no great matter to a rich creditor, but are all important to a family which has nothing else. WILI.IAM HENRY HAKRISOIS ."

ATLANTA, GA., Ma)-1!), 1883.

I have known and watched the use of the remedy known as Swift's Specific for twenty years, and have seen more wonderful "results from' it than any remedy inside or outside of the Pharmacopoeia. I know its composition, and do not hesitate to say that it is the safest and most efficient antidote to all blood poison that is known to science. For diseases incident to spring, it has no «qual in assisting nature to throw off the impurities of the blood brought on by the sluggish circulation in the winter months. I know it to be entirely vegetable, being prepared from the roots and herbs of onr Georgia forests. As a tonic and alterative for children, it is superior to everything, as it cleanses the system, tones up the digestive organs, and gives the little ones a chance to grow and fatten. A few bottles of this remedy will benefit every man, woman and child in the land, and especially in the spring.
