The Doctor's Mistake.^ One of the old mistakes of the profession was to think that there were no other ways of curing disease except those which had been handed down from former tinfoa^

It is not to. he denied, that the Doctors have done great things for the world. But when it comes right down to the real curing of disease, it must be admitted that Brown's Iron Bitters has done enough to earn the generous grfatitude of this whole present generation, including the medical profession. There are no mysteries or secrets about the compounding of Brown's Iron Bitters. This preparation of iron is the only preparation which will riot injure teeth or stomach. la this it beyond comparison better than the other preparations, which are mischievous and injurious.

You need not fear a mistake id trying Brown's Iron Bitters. You* druggist has it It gives vigor to the feeble, and new life to the dyspeptic. Children take it, not only with safety, but with great advantage.

Hamilton's Secretary—State News.

Special Dispatch to the Globe-Democrac. SPRINGFIELD, Ills., December 1.— Dr. Gairbrother, of Carbondale, called upon the governor to-day to urge upon him the propriety of calling an extra session of tbe legislature to provide for the rebuilding of the Southern Normal university, recently destroyed by fire. He was accompanied by Mr. J. B. Meesick, of St. Clair county, and Mr. J. £. C. Lovingston, of East St Louis. The case was fully stated to the governor, and it was Bhown that the foundation and walls of the building to tbe value of $100,000 could be saved if tbe work were begun at once, but would be lost if work were delayed until after the next regular session of the legislature. The cost of an extra session would be $25,000. The governor heard the application and promised to give the subject his attention. It is evident he would like to hear public sentiment on the subject of the extra session. He dislikes to incur the expense unless there is a general desire for it.
