will be remembered that one year ago last September tbe entire north side the public square, the principal business portion of the town, was destroyed by fire last summer another fire swept away the greater portion of the south side of the square, and now we have to record the entire destruction of tbe east ride of the square by the same destroying element. The fire was discovered at about ten o'clock on Friday night, in the dry goods store of W. H. Harding. The origin of the lire is unknown, but the tact Ihfit, when discovered, it was about the stove, would seem to show that it was not caused by an incendiary, but by accident or carelissnes8. There was no fire organization in town, and the flames spread rapidly until the entire row of buildings.was destroyed. The following is a list of property burned:

W. H. Harding, dry goods store. Loss $35,000. Insurance $25,000. Bates & Browning, drug store. Loss $10,000. Insurance $8,000.
