The Shivering: Season.
The loss of the laboring classes of the United States caused by fever and ague, has been estimated at upwnrds of two millions of dollars per annum. Whole settlement are sometimes prostrated by the diseaso, and it is regarded in some localities, as one of those visitations of providence which cannot bo avoided. This is a mistake. As certainly as any of the evils which arc invited by neglect may be forestalled by precaution—so certainly may an attack of intermittent (or remittent) fever bo prevented by invigorating the system with Ilostetter's Stomach BitUrs, in advance of the season, at which this malady prevails. Prevention, it is needless to say, is tho wisest policy but it is consoling to know that where tiaie hns not been thus taken by the forclock, and tho proxsymshave actually commenced, a complete cure may, in all cases, be rapidly effected by the use of this powerful vegetable tonic. The reputation of tho Bitters as a specific for dyspepsia, liver complaint, consumption and nervious debility, has in somo measure thrown into tho sh'ide its merits as a preventive and cure of other ailments, but all who have over taken it, either as a protection against or a remedy for malarious fevers, will admit that it surpassess in efficiency all the so-called specifics (including quinine,! usually prescribed for these maladies, while it is at tho same timo entirely harmless and decidedly palatable. sp7dwlw

GRAIN
Kind of fir*in
or Seed, Whether Clean or Foul. The grain is distribited by moans of small double spiral feed wheels working in cups undS the hopper: these wheels carry the grain upwards to a discharge opening in the cup and force it out, and with it force out straw mrtd other obstructions. It is utterly impossible to choice it, and as evidence of this fact the wheat we have in our sample machine is halt chaff, and by turning tho wheel it is carried through as well as clean wheat.
It will sow any kind of grain, and in any quantity desired. In other force feed drills to change tho feed yon remove one cog wheel and put in another and the cog wheels are loose and liable to be lost. In the
