honor and integrity self-righteous persons who belong to the Asbury Sabbath School Picnic Committee, we almost shrink frnm the task, but when the truth is to be told in which their charges of fraud upon the Good Templars are so easily refuted, we accept the task and come to the rescue without fear or trembling.
In the first placn we were of your efforts over the new railrcMf. BRvrtw members of your committee openly stated in our Lodge that the Asbury Sabbath School had chosen the 5th of this month for their excursion, consequently we called upon Mr. McKeen, the President of the Toad, ntautionr e*coitb»tt He promised as the first train over the road, and said weco'ild have a train anydavthis week after Monday. We chose Wfd-neSj day, the 1st, for our day, and 'had1 oOfr bills ordered for the occasion, before we ever knew' there was to be any change in our arrangements, ior inf the tactics of- our stragetic Asbnry friends.
But the vigilance of that astute committee soon discovered that the Good Templars were'in an advanced position. So they wheeled right-about-face and rushed franticly to the Superintendent's office and demanded a train in advance of ours, and they got it.
