doubtbNtin wbscriM to-day JI The "Andes Company starts.off with flying colors, with a paid up capital of one nullum del-

nett, of Cincinnati, at its head. We do notaeehow it can prove otherwise than Very successful, because it will, at the outset, have the confidence of the people which ordinarily, ii only obtainw after years of trial and good management. All of the stockholders in our city are enshusiastic, and will, by their influence, secure the Company a large business here at its commencement.—Evanmlle Journal, May 25tk.

SCHOIA—Pxcanc.—The

grand

picnic of the sesson will be held at tk^ Fair Grounds on 'Friday, June S^. AM the children and teachers belonging to the city schools will be taken oat on the cars and returned, frte. All those not belonging to the schools, children 10 cants, adults 25 cents, for round trip.

TOTH*PDBUC:—The ner by which the managers of tEe Gpod Templar Picnic have sooght to mislead the public is anything but creditable to them, hence the following statement:

From the btelhhing tfcey have been aware of the action taken by AsbUry Sabbath School, which fairly obtained the privilege of the Jfest excursion trip over net0 railroad, from the Superintendent Chas. Peddle, Esq. The Good Templar Committee used eyeiy endeavor and put foriftfiievefry pAtteftoget^iead of the Sunday School, but the officers of the road, kg'ng honorable men, refined to break their engagements with the Sabbath School.

Failing in their schemes, and against strong opposition from their own members, the managers have perpetrated a fraud upon the people bv publishing broadcast over the city that the Good Templars will give the "first trip over the new railroad." fV-i -i1'"w

We are willing to abide 'die ^pular verdict concerning the fairness and manliness of such a course. We do. not believe that the action of the managers is endorsed by the Society. And in cpnclusion, we will only add that our excursion wilfc be thejW OUT AnMM railroad Aat tickets for the trip are 25 cents less than the Good Templars charge that we go to the same place that we have engaged the same band of music, and thst We expect to have just as good and just as "jolly" a time as anybody.
