at its
session, which closed yesterday, had beseveral importaAt bhsineili'inattfiJs, which were satisfactorily disposed of. Among others thii^"!it had'tinder ^consideration the limited opportunities for boarding on favorable terms, and a Committee was appointed to secure suitable boarding arrangements, especially for young ladies. This is a matter of the highest importance and it is very deaira. ble that the citizens of Terre Haute should interest themselves in reference to it.
A request having come from the State Board of Education that a short session during July and Ahgnst should be provided for the benefit of Teacher? who are regularly employed during the year, the President and Faculty, cpncurning, in the proposal: it was resolvpd that Normal Session be ordered^to commence on the Kith of July, and continue four weeks closing on the 10th of August.
Pres. Jones authorized to engage temporarily the services of Prof. Q-, H. Smith, during the Normal Teachers Institute. The services of the Faculty were also retained for that occasion. The Faculty were instructed to prepare a suitable circular in relation to the Normal Teachers Institute. tlu
