The evidenoe on the examination of Mrt. Orowel, and the statements of Mrs. Buger, implicated Cramer so much that it was determined to arrest bim. He Was accordingly plaoei undersurveilanco, and an affidavit made before the ©rand Jury, which body^after summoning and bearjng the evidenoe of a number of witnesses, found two bills against him against himself, and the other conjointly against bim »od Mrs. Crowel. judge $ bityun fixed Cramer's bail at $4,000, and in default thereof he was committed to the County jail. The above is certainly a peculiar case. Mrs. Crowel is an old woman, and by tio manner of meant could she b« culled goodrlookipg. Pltmovth, Pa^ Sept. 6.—Fire broke oat this morning in the floe and bottom shait owaed by theDalaware, Lackawana A Westora Company, in this place, and in a short time the whole breaker and out buildiogt. ware in flames, and the hoisting apparatus, tbe only avenue of tiespefer miBM, was destroyed. A1I efforts to stay the flames were unavailable, and the whole structure fell, filling up tbe shaft. Oyer 200 men are in tbe mines, and have no communication out, with ao chance for air, as tbe only chance for getting air into the shaft was through the pain opening, and that was filled burning debris |tis feared tbe whele number have anffocated by smoke^r perished for anrtrt of air. Tbe Fire Department of Scran too, Wilkesbarre and Kingston are playing streams down tbe shaft for the purpose of quench in the flames, ao the rubbish can be cleared out and the condition of the men discovered. It will probably take till to-morrow morning before tidings-can be heard of them.

The loss by fire will amount to about $100,000, partly covered by insurance. All the physicians of the vicinity have been summoned to attend when the condition of the men has been ascertained.

TERRIBLE ROW.
A disgraceful affair occurred.on Saturday night at a place called Christmas, on the Third street road, a few miles distant from'the city. A fandango, at which were congregated, a number of black men and sogte white females, broke up in a terrible i'ow. Jering the melee fire-arms and knives were freely used. Three blacks received' eerioos injuries, and a fourth was mortally wounded. The police have been searching for the culprits, hut thus far their efforts hftve fcen fruitless,

Lobtdon, Sept. 5.—Important advices relative to the actual existing condition tff relations between'-tbe Khedive Egypt and the Sultan' of Turkey have been received. The Khedive was prompt ly telegraphed to Constantinople for his assent to. conditions military, financial and tiibutary, which were embraced and Insisted on in the Sultan's letter lately forwarded to him, thus evincing bis de termination to leave no excuse for any hostile action on the part of the Sultan Tbe Khedive expected to arrive in Con stantinople and have an official interview with the Sultan immediately.
The Frpneh Minister in Constantinople telegraphed the main points of the letter to the Khedive before he reached'Alexan dria at tbe same time urgently advising him to submit to its terms.
Lomboh, Sept. 5—Night.—Private ai vices from Paris have been reoeived here to«night on the subject of the actual condition of Napoleon's health. These dispatches represent that tbe illness of the Emperor has taken asomewbat alarming turn. His Majesty experienced an attack of tbe disease yesterday, which occasioned him an unusual amount of suffering. This paroxysm subsided after a little time, but to-day the Emperor feels much exhausted from its effects. No fatal result of tbe attack is anticipated, but the existing symptoms arq of such a character tbat they are decidedly calculated to excite uneasiness, both in bis family and the public mind.
