When it was tended tbeir spirits became suddenly elate, and a look of ghostly satisfaction seemtd to have been impressed on the countenance of each.- Among tbe auditors there were many women, evident believers in the ghostly theory, who, dnrinf the summing up of the counsel, evinped the utmost interest in the proceedings,, and, on the disoharge of Mr. Muler, were among tbe foremost to give him a cordial congratulation.

We are told that while the 14th .Indiana was encamped at the old Fair Ground* north of the city,-Mr,, A. R. Miller, now of Indianapolis, who had a temporary gnllery in ttae oamp, one day took a picture, an ambrotype of a soldier named Gardner, and upon the plat^ there appeared the dim outline of an Indian. Mr. Miller could not tell how it got on tbe plate, and it was afterwards asserted that the soldier was a medium, and the Indian was his guardian or cos* trolling spirit. We do not remember hearing anything of this incident at the time, and cannot vouch for its truthfulacts, exoept it is told us by a gentleman of vemcity.
