March 27.—Auditor

WiCkiiffe, who was arrested yesterday but released on bail, has published a notification to the public against transacting any business with the Auditor's office until he regains possession of it. Statir also, that tho office has bean illegally seized by Governor Warmouth, and the financial department of the government virtually suspended.

Upon presenting himself at the Auditor's yesterday with his appointment from Governor War mouth, Mr. DeLaseewas refased possession by Wickliffe, when the latter was ejected by the Superintendent of Police.

Legal opinions are given that the Governor bad no right to eject Wicklffe, as tfcdt could only be done by impeapboent or. indictment and, canviotion.

At the regular meeting of the Woman Suffrage Association this afternoon, a committee waa appointed to wait upon the County Court of this county and urge upon them not only the propriety, but the importance of appointing a matron for the County jail, who shall have special charge of the female prisoners there* in, surject to the general supervision' of the jailor. The matron to mfik9 monthly reports to the Court oi the number and condition of said prisoners, and the matron not to be the wife or relation of the jailor.

A finance committee was also appointed to raise funds to carry on the suffrage movement throughout the State, by pixV ting speakers in the field and orgtfhixing sub-associations.
