one of the oldest-

citizens of Rockville, and one of the oldest ministers of tbe Old Presbyterian Church, died in Rookville on "Wednesday afternoon. He was over 80 years of age, J, and was the last surviving largo family except one son.

Missionary meeting In Christ

Church last evening was addressed by Bishop Trtlbot and several of the clerpy. The Kev. Mr. Engle, of Indicnapoli?, spoke on Christian Responsibility. Tbe Bav. Mr. Wakefield, of Richmond, on the power of the Christian Church to overcome the corruptions of tbe world. Rev, Dr. Davidson, of Indianapolis, on Individual Effort In the work of the Cburobj and the Rav. Dr. Stringfeilow, on Organisation. The addresses were intare»ting, as showing the condition of the Church and its progress Jn this D'ocese. The formation and systematic working of Missionary Associations in each parish were strongly urged. An Association of this kind has been in active working operation in Christ Church Parish, in this city, for two years part, with very satisfactory results. Tbe Convocation still continues in session.
