The moment it is stopped the formation of gas ceases and the flame expires. There is no chance or evaporation and a quart of the saturating fluid will last for months. The lamp is non-explosive, the experiment having been tried of dropping fire coals into tbe chamber. The cost of the lamps, it is said, will be some four or five dollars.
