clip the following in (relation to the Publio Debt, from the Cincinnati Chromelet and recommend it to the Democracy of our section of the country
N'dw that the canvass is over, we hope our, Democratic friends will be willing to take a more reasonable view cf many matters brought into the recent discussions. They must surely rejoice that the ptibHolfebt has beeii considerably decreased diyip^jhe last montp, instead of insinuating suspicions against the honesty of Secretary McCullocn's statements, be-: ••ufeiia&.he does not report an increase, as some wore inclined to do a few days ago.
It appears that the reduction made during the month of October was about $5,000,(300, or at the rate of $60,000,000 ^hnVislly. *With a fair and honest colj lection of the revenues, a much larger amount may be paid off each year, without any increase in the rales of taxation.
By a united and patriotic effort to put tho national JSnaflceain the best praotica* ble condition, without regard to parti? sanship, .we may advance tbe Government credit materially, lighten the bnrdenB of taxation, and haBten the safe return of specie, payments.

Library Hall was full of happy Bepub licans. Everybody was hilarious, and as the successive reports of the triumph of tbe loyal cause all over tbe country," reached them, and were read from tire stage, long and loud were the cheers that buret forth from their patriotic hearts The Hall was very crowded, and the iQ terval between reports was passed in singing and short speeches. Frank Lumbard, assisted by an excellent corps of singers, discoursed patriotic songs. "Old Shady" was sung, and then some one on waving a paper in his hand, called the house to order and said: "If any of you doubt about: old Shady's coming, when you hear this dispatch it will dispel all misgiving.'^ The dispatch was from Indianapolis, and announced, "Indiana will go 10,000 to 12,wo for Grant and Colfiut." It was receteR\with immense enthusiasm. A dispatch from Petroleum V. ITasby, announcing that the "Corners" had gone Democratic, except Joe Bigler, caused a good deal of merriment. At a very late hour the people dispersed to their homes.

On Thursday night, in celebration of the great victory was, perhaps, the most els tensive and magnificent affair ofthe kind ever witnessed in the West Any attempted description of it that I could give, would fail to convey any idea at ell adequate to its grand proportions* or brilliance of display. They are very popular among all classes of people, and are conceded to be just the thing for this climate. No Bitters have yet been introduced which have become so deservedly popular and worthy of patronage, to all who require a tonic and stimulant.
