Our train, with Governor Seymour on board, arrived this morning. There waB no demonstration. The party was met by a committeera very tame affair, and conducted to the Sherman House. Two and a half cheers were givea, when the Governor, the palUbearers Scheli. Church and Kiernan—alighted. There was no enthusiasm along the road from Cleveland and Chicago. It was a regu lar funeral procession, quiet as the graves of our Union dead. Norwalk wss the only station at which the dying candidate was called out. At the quiet littla town of Laporte, Indiana, where we took breakfast, the only inquiries made were: "IJ Seymour aboard?" "Where was he during the draft?" At Miller's station, thirty miles east of Chicago, an enter, prising Hoosier offered a number of ducks for sale. Poor Seymour turned from the platform with tears in his eyes.
