In tho evening there were about 10,000 people at the depot to-bid fardwell to our gallant soldier, Kilpatriek, who fought tho rebels from 1861 tp. 1865, and is again In the field, fighting, as ho terms them: Northern traitors. He "itaade a ehor' speech, in which he exhorted tha noble soldiers to not forget to vole as tbey shot, and as tho train came in they again welcomed the gallant Hoo^ior Boy, tfchtiykr Colfax, who was aboard the train, bound for Indianapolis. Tho enthusiasm was uncontrolable. Tbey greeted him with
rounds of applause, and carried" him to platform erected near the depot, where he made a five minutes' speech. As the train started they carried him to it, and then tho ten thousand throats opened1, showing by thfe the tremendous cheering their approbation of tfyeir gallant son.
