Flag Presentation.—The exorcises attending the presentation of a flag to the Fourth Ward Tanners, by the ladies of that Ward, occurred at'the flag pole, last evening, and were attended by a large audience, including many of the gentler sex. The banner is a beautiful tTnited States ensign, of fine fabric, and large proportions. The presentation speech was mads by R. H. THE DEMONSTRATION AT HARTFORD.

The grand demonstration which occurred at Hartford, Linton Township, on Thu|sday night, deserves a more extended notice than we were able to give yesterday. It was, iih fact, one of the largest "outside" meetings of the campaign. The entire programme was carried out with great spirit and in that perfect harmony wbich promises the best results. A torchlight procession consisting of the Troopers of Linton, Piersott' and Honey Creek with small detachments of Tanners, numbering in all about four hundred, formed near the residence of Col. Norris and marchod to Hartford. The following are a portion of the mottoes borne on the various transparencies: "r

following allusion to the great speech of Col. R. W. Thompson, delivered at Jef« fersonville on the 30th ultimo:

There is not an issue involved in the canvass that he did not discuss, going to the bottom of every question, and by reasoning the most concise backing up his propositions, or elucidating his posi tions. The speech throughout was a mas terpiece of sound argument, and never have we heard the distinguished gentleman maintain his well earned fame at an orator more ably than he did yesterday.
