W. I'. Shbbma^, Lieut. Gen. slftc-*- ALABAMA, .flwdiM-jl The Alabama delegation had an interview with the President and Secretary of War this forenoon, which lasted abont half an hour.

They were assured all necessary aid will be furnished the State government in of any transgression upon its authority. The department commander will be in* structed accordingly, and authorized to call for additional troops, if accessary. The delegation was highly gratified with the success of their miaaioni

They do not fear any serious disturbance, but think it will do well to have authority to call for troops in case of necessity. Probably one regiment of infantry will be forwarded to General Meade.

The Secretary of War, with the approval of tbe President, is preparing a letter to General Meade, in which the memorial of the Alabama Legislature will be referred to him, in hich he is directed to take such measures aB may be necessary to prevent the troubles apprehended by the Legislature, by a prompt and proper disposition of troops.

Gov. Smith has no doubt his veto of the bill authorizing the election of Presidential electors by the Legislature will' be sustained, and has no doubt the Legislature will pass .measures necessary to enable the people to vote for Presidential electors. The civil authorities supported by the President's assurance and promised letter from the Secretary of War, will be able to control "unruly elements and secure a peaceful election. The letter of the Secretory of War will be delivered to the Committee at 10 o'clock to-morrow, when they will depart for Montgomery via Atlanta, in order to deliver the letter to General Meade. 1
