The inquest upon the victims of the Ab» ergele accident, in Wales, has resulted in verdict of manslaughter against the two brakesmen who were in charge of the goods train, and the station master is at the same time strongly censured for transgressing tho Company's "shunting rules."

The Kenosha (Wisconsin) Telegraph says a company of gypsies have been encamped for a week on the Bacine road, a mile nortk of that city. The encampment consists of some fifty or sixty men, women and children. Tbe principal occupation of the men appears to be trading horses that of the womjen, iortuse telling.

A grindstone should not be exposed to the weather, as it not only injure? the work, but tbe sun's rays harden the stone so much as, in time, to render it almost useless. Neither should it stand in the water in which it runs, as the part re maining in the water softens so much that it wears unequal and "out of true."

Mr. M. M. Whitney, of Bellows Falls, Yt., a few days since, took from his flower garden a beautiful gold-banded Japan lily, very fragrant, measuring nine inches across the top and forming a vory complete bouquet in itself. This flower was first imported from Japan a few years since, and only two years ago a single bulb cost forty dollars.

Ex-Governor Ourtin, of Pennsylvania, has invited all the loyal Governors during the war to meet him in Philadelphia on the 1st and 2d of October at the Soldiers' and Sailors' Mass Convention. Over fifty thousand veterans will probably attend the meeting. Pennsylvania is thoroughly awake, and will follow the lead of Maine and Vermont in October.
