Vermont Election.

RUTLAND, VT.,Sept, S.—The Republican vote in 117 towns, about one half the States, gives Page, Republican, 23,331, Edwards, Democrat, 8,351. Majority 14,980.

The towns to be heard from will undoubtedly bring the majority in the State up to 30,000. 'Net gain in the 117 towns is 4,835.

Returns from 154 towns give a majority of 20,167 anda net Republican gain over last year of 6,199.

It is reported that on Saturday last a Prussian named Seagenski, employed in iervice at the brick manufactory, Middlesex county, Connecticut, was murdered by four men. The names of two of his assailants were Henry Bootgar and Carl Hopp, one of whom fractured the skull of Seagenski with a club. The assailants jescaped to this city.
