THE COURT HOUSE SQUARE

It was suggested a ^hort time since that a substantial eland be erected in tbe Court House Square, to be used by both political parties for large public gather ings. We renew the suggestion, and also that the Brass Bands of this city be invited to furnish selections of .music one or two evenings each week. Perhaps some method can be devised for compensation, but to initiate the movement, we have no doubt each of the bands will alternate their Services.* This will make our beautiful square an attractive, place of. resort andjjromenade these, summer eveuingBi and our bands will have, an opportunity of giving the people a tasto of their superior mnaical talent.
