Mrs. Lyon, a widow lady with $750,000 has brought suit against Daniol Home, the well-known medium, to compel tho restoration of $300,000 worth of bank stock and other securities, which she gave him when a believer in his supernatural powers. This gift was made under the following circumstances: Mrs. Lyon's husband diodin 1850. Just before he expired he told ber that he believed a change would come in seven years from bis death, and they would meet. This she interpreted to mean that she would die in 1866, but in that year her yiews on the point changed in consequence of information received by her from a female photographer, to whom she had gone to have a photograph of her deceased husband copied. The photographer told her that death was unnecessary in order to meet him, advised her to become a spiritualist, and lent her books on the art of spiritualism, and directed her attention to Home, who had just opened an athenaeum at csloane street for the promotion of spiritualism.

GRADUATE of MEDICINE,

as Diploma will show, has beeu longer engaged tbe treatment of ViNKatAi., SCXUAL and PBTVST* Dni&ns than any other Physician in St. Louis.

Bgphilit, Oenarrkes,- Ul«s(, Stricture, Orchitie, Hernia and Buptur, ail Urinary Dinatee and Stphilitie or Mercurial Affectione of the Throat, (Us or Botes are treated with unparalleled success.

Spernntorrhea, Sexaal Debility and Inpotcncy, as the result of self-abose In youth, sexual eucesses in matnrer years, or other caase*, and which produce some of tbe following effect^ as Hocturnal Emissions, Blotches, Debility, Dizziness, Dimntss of Sight, COnfusioa of Ideas, Bvll Fortbodinge, Aversion to Society of Females, Loss of Msmory aad tissual Power, and rendering Marriage improper, are permanently cured.

The Doctor's opportunities in hospital and private practice are unsurpassed ia St. Louis or any othercity. Bick fllee of St. Louis papers prove that nehas been located there longer by years than any other so advertising. The establishment, library, laboratory aud appointments are unrivalled in the West, unrivalled any where. Age, with experience, can be relied upon, and the Doctor can refer to many physicians throughout the country. In past success aod present position he stands without a competitor. The Writing* of a Pfcytlelai whose licpalatloi I'nloa-wldej shonU be worth Reading.

DocTon WHITTIM publishee a Medical Pamphlet relating to Venereal Diseases and the disastrous and varied consequences of self-abuse, that will be seat to any address in a sealed envelope for two stamps. It cos tains full symptom lists tbat will enable those affected to determine the-nature of their complaint and give a writteu statement of their case that will answer almost as well for fle purpoee of treatments* a personal Interview but where it is couzenient, tho Doctor ahouid be consulted personally. Those hwvlug friends that may require advice, can supply them with this valuable work by sending their address, with stamp. Thus you can assist the unfortunate without their knowing their benefactor. Certainly no snbject is of more importance than puaity of blood and perfect manhood.

It is self-evident that a physician who confines qlmself exclusitely to the study of acer tain claae of diseases at.d treats thousands of cases every year, must acquire greater skill In that specialty tUau one iu general practice.— Many pnyeiciane, recognising this fact, introduce patients to the Doctor after reading his Medical Pamphlet.
