Dr- Abbott's Ifiballa Hold fir Cure of Consumption. Iv We b»vo for some time been ictandfag to notice the fact that Dr. N. W. Abbott, of this city, is making a speciality of the: treatment of Consumption, Asthma, and

Throat and Lung diseases generally but, fearful that his, like many other modes of treating this almost universally! considered incurable diseasf, might P®°T* fruitless, Irave delayed to4mg ttntll we should satisfy ourselves that bis manner of treatment is all he claims fbr it.-w-Dr. Abbott graduated at Berkshire Medical College, Pittsfleld Massachusaets, in 1844. For over fifteen years he has experimented to find a specific for consumption— and finally has discoved a course of treatment consisting principally of Inhalation* —that has thus iar proved itself superior to all other known remodiea.

The system of Inhalation, whereby the medicine is breathed into the lungs and is thus brought directly in contact with the seat of the disease, commends itselt to our judgment as being more rational than tbe one which prescribes far this longs remedies that are to be swallowed Tplo the stomach. And wo hate the evidenoe'that hi* treatment is both practical and philosophical, from tbe many oures he nas effected in this dty, ofcases of Consump* ties.
