Military Board nnder Gen. Canby, recently in seeeion at Washington City, ha* publlehed a new form of application for the bounty due diecharged soldiers, nnder the Act of July 28, 1866. Nearly all they have done heretofore/muet now be done over again on the naw form. Those having bounty claims with me, are rnepectfully informed that I am now ready to reflx their papere, according to the regulations of the Board, and the Pay-master-General, and I will take pleasure la waiting on them promptly, when they call at my Office.
Claim* for bounty for a deceased eon, must now be made by the Father and mother, jointly, as the claim belongs TO THE paeests, when both are living. The Mother, when living, must sign the pa* «r with the Father. In such claims left with ae, fathers are reepectfUlly requested to bring their wives to my Offlce to arrange the application according to this lat* rule.
Widows having a claim for penelon. under the old law, or for incrtat* of peiuion nnder the new law, are Informed that anew affidavit Is now re- I quired in relation to the ages of their children, or their abandonment, or adoption by another person, which muet be made before their claim will be
