grocery stor® an4 purchased ttv*o pounds of sugar paying 22 cents for it. Bhe then took it next door and had it weighed and found that it was three ounces short. According to the evidence given Friday morning, the purchaser returned to the former place, nnd demanded that she be given an additional three ounces. She testified that the two men became angered and that LungofT grabbed the package from her hand and threw it on the floor and trampled It into the dust. She also testified that the men called her vile names and ejected her from the store.

The case, according to Prosecutor John Jeffries, may he tjaken up by the food administration. In the event #of the facts in the case being as stated by the witnesses in Cit^v Court, it is probable that both men may be heavily fined and their place of business closed.

10 VISIT ME HAUTE

A notification reached Mr. McClary that tfie planes would arrive this morning and at 9 O'clock more than 150 citizens, including members of the Chamber of Commerce, assembled at Hjventy-fifth stteet, but the air craft failed to appear. A later message announced that the visit would be made twenty-four hours later, arriving at| 9 o'clock Saturday morning. ed at the landing placo in readiness the morning although but a few hours were given the secretary to prepare.

A coincidence of the notification to the ChamDer of Commerce was, that the certification of the ftrst telegram sent arrived this morning through the United States mail, while no telegram has as yet reached the secretary, other than the last one which announced that the arrival would date twentyfour hours late.

The telegram received is as follows^ "Secretary Chamber qf^ Commerce, Terre Haute, Indiana. "4-5-9-6-(Period), two plains from Eliington Field, Texas, enroute to Washington, D. C., in connection Liberty Loan campaign (coma,) will stop at your city twenty-four hours later than schedule as originally announced (period). Request you have 80 gallons highest test gasoline and ten gallons Mobil oil on hand to avoid delay (period)." (Signed) FRANK, Commanding.

These huge bombing planes are carried by such high powered motors that the sound of their approach can be heard for considerable distance. It is expected that ,-| large crowd will await the landing tomorrow morning.

stronger in the afternoon than in the morning. Harry J. Cohen Is of the Opinion of Mr. pers. Let the race of the clock stay unchanged.

H. A. Pritchett, hello mam of the Citizens* telephone company,' -declared that he cared not fbr "beauty sleep" and was very well satisfied to let the time remain as it was.

Julius Lederer is Votihfe for the reverse order. Turn the locks back to take advantage of the daylight is the right order in Mr. Lederer's mind.

Prof. Robert .Uillum, of the Indiana State Normal faculty, wished the time changed for the winter to the regular time on account of the daylight saving in that direction.

There has always been a division of opinion of the turning back of the clock. Back in sweetheart days, there was always controversy when it was set back and then again turned up— wfongtime. \Mother and father have wageo many a wordy battle over the "wheels of time." Mother and daughter,, father and son have argued loud and long over just the problem which is now being thrashed out by Senators, by business men and just common citizens, who hate to get up early. The matter will be decided soon for October 27 is the date set for the "turning back.

FRANK J. MARTIN.

A Dead Stomacfr

Of What Use Is II?

Thousands? yes hundred* of thon sands of people throughout America are taking the slow death tfcatmt nt daily.

They are murdering their own storaach, the best ffiend they nave, and in their suMime hrnorance they think they are putting aside the laws of nature.

This is no sensational statement It is a startling fact, the truth of which any honorable phvstrian will not deny.

These thousands of people are swallowing daily hug-e -jua«titiefl of pepsin and other .strong disresiers, made especially to di*est the food in the stomach without any aid at ail from the digestive membrane of the stomach.

Mi-o-na stomach tablets relieve distressed stomach in five minutes: they do more. Takfn regularly for a few weeks they build up the. rur. down stomach and make it strong eno-j^h to digest its own food. Then lnditrcstion. belching, sour, stomach and headache will go. .'

Ml-o-na Stomach'tables* are hv drugsrists everywhere- and by Baur's Pharmacy in Terre Haute, who guaraD/ tees them.—Advertisement.
