Stanley, rector of the Church. Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Carrigan, of Indianapolis. attended the bride and groom.

Mrs. Davis was married In a suit of brown broadcloth with harmonizing |*!cessories. She wore a corsage bouquet of OpSaelia rosea. Following the ceremony, a *tvedding diner was served At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carrlgan. Mr. and Mrs. Davis left for a short Wedding trip east and upon their return will live in Terre Haute.

The bride has been a stenographer in the Pennsylvania offices for several jeans. The groom received an honorable discharge from the army, but hopes to be able to enter the service ng:.in. He is at present with the ti action company.

Verner McNabney has returned from Camp Grant, Rockford. He went with the last consignment of conscripted men and despite his desire to get into active service was rejected owing to a minor physical defect that governra«nt surgeons decided would unfit him for service.

Miss Florence Krazier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James K. Frazier of Putnam street, underwent an operation for i the removal of her tonstls at the Cnion hospital. Miss Frazier is a graduate nurse, and expects to be called into service the first of October.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 21.—Secretary McAdoo today appointed every child of school age In the United Stataa "a soldier of the Liberty Loan." In a statement issued to school children through the* National Woman's Liberty Loan Committee, McAdoo wild: ^Back in the trenches of France run our rear line trenches of America. In them the government expects us to stay at home to fight for the winning of the war. In them every one of us is a soidier on duty.
