LOAN

Everyone firmly believes that this •tun will be realized If the organization for receiving the subscriptions is complete and comprehensive, ana the public comes to a proper realisation of the significance of the .event.

Every school district chairman of ttie city and most of the county chairmen were at wofk today completing their lists of workers and arranging for the distribution of the suUwly tion tables.,

Vifo Going Ov«r Early.

"Vigo county is going to be one of the tirst to go over the top instead of one of the last," said Hal Dronberger, men's ctty chairman. "To do this we must have the impetus of a big subscription on conscience Sunday. People should study in advance the amount of bonds they can buy. Then they should add something to this, and have the checks or currency ready to make the initial payment when theyl giv® their subscriptions Sunday morning. This is the start of our campaign. It must be a good •tart"

Small badges bearing a scarlet letter V are being printed, and one of these will be given to every Sunday subscriber. These badges will have pins attached, and can be fastened to the lapel of the coat. In this way the people who have bought can be identified. and will not be solicited in the week's drive that will open on Monday.

Tbe Importance -df 'conscience gunday was emphasized, today, when it began to appear that Vigo county's quota might be over J.VOOO.UftO instead

^BOSTON. MASS.—Both my friends of tbe profession and myself—doctors all —have b^cn amazed at the transformation wrought by a few days' use of phosphorated malt.

She nad b*on grle\ousiv miscreated by her household and by all her friends—accord ins to i'er story. To her the world Wan a dreary place and life itself was a burden and a bore. I had treated her oefore and knew her family- and social life to be ideal except for her own distorted imagination. I told her to e^t less, and take two-lhe grain tablets of phosphorated malt after each meal, and to report to me at the end of a week. In about two weeks she came into lny otTiee, rosy-cheeked, happy and carefree. a picture of exultant health—the kind that knows no nerves and forgets to be unhappy. 1 have seen phosphorated mait double endurance and mental activity In less than two weeks' tim« after all else had faileid, even the best phy»iclan:. 1 have seep It bring roses to the c.reeks of pale, tir«d. nervous, overworked won.er. and the crimuon blood of heijth and a happy smile to the fa^es of children recovering from Ion?? spells of sickness. SPOILS CIRCUS TRADE.

Police Put Crimp In One Bootlegger's Activities. The apparent laying in of a good stock of wet goods for the circus day crowd, resulted in Edward Taylor, Si years old, being sent to Jail Tuesday morning charged with bootlegging and violating the state liquor law, after he had beea examined by Captain VanCleave.

Sergeant Deer and Patrolman Moore, armed with a search warrant, went to Taylor's room at Fourth and Ohio streets, and found three full quarts of whiskey, two partly filled bottles, one glass jug and one empty bottle. This collection of glassware was left at the store room at police headquarters.

Doctors Amazed at Power of Phosphorated Malt to Bring Strength and Steady Nerves to Pale, Weak, Nervous Women

dom has made it necessary to all life botn vegetable and animal, and It is just as indispensable-to health as pure atr and nourishing, wholesome food. Tot most, of us .gradually exhaust ur phosphorus supply and do nothing to replenish it, so that more phosphorus is a common need of both men and women, though few realize it The people in need of phosphorus often think that stomach, liver or kldneye are making them sick or nervous and rundown when all they really need is little more phosphorus to tone up the nerves snd give strength and vigor to the body.

Physicians know the value of phosphorus and everybody knows the tonic value of malt, a rema-rkable tissue Dutlder especially adapted to the needs of nursing mothers and weak anaemic women and men. Combined with phosphorus ancf phosphates as in phosphorated malt it nourishes the bodv bv aiding the system to convert food "into living tissue Phosphorated malt contains phosphorus in a state almost Identical with that found in the brain and nervo cells of Htrong, healthy, vigorous people and after a few days of it weak, tired n-rves thrill with energy, pleasure is more inviting, work become® easier and you face the day with renewed confidence, enduraru e, and enthusiasm.

Manufacturers' Note to Physicians Phosphorated malt, so highly recommended by Dr. Held, Is not a patent medicine or a secret remedv. The formula, for the information of phym.ians and the public, is printed on every package. It is sold under a guarantee to increase endurance an«i mental activity or the price will be refunded. Even In cases where you prescribe it and it fails the druggist will refund the purchase price. The manufacturers Insist that all druggists sell it subject to this guarantee. It is dispensed in Terre Haute by New Central Pharmacy and Owl Drug Co.—Adver-
