WEEKLY CROP REPORT. Issued by V. C. Weather Bureau.
The continued hot. drv weather of last week was very unfavorable for corn from Kansas, southeastern Nebraska and southern Iowa southward. and in much of the Ohio vallev. In many upland localities in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas, the croD will be a failure. The condition generally Is favorable, however, in the ex treme northeast and central northern districts. The crop is maturing in the extreme south and fodder Dulling is general in the southeast.
The late grain harvest and thrashing mkde excellent progress, except in a few northwest localities, where rain interfered. The yield continues gener ally good.
Fall plowing made slow advance in many central and southern sections on account of the hard drv soil. The weather continued unfavorable for potatoes. truck, fruit and pastures in central and southwestern sections, but improved in the northeast, north cen tral and many western localities.
