thing she has done since the production of that photoplay more than four vears ago. "M'liss" is an unvarnished revival of the good old tale that was first related in book form by Bret Harte and then fixed up for use in the regular stag* for the use of the late Annie Plxley, whose brother Gus is sometimes seen in pictures. "M'liss" is credited in scree*j captions with using the cuss wordO Harte made her use and there is really more fun in t,he trial scene as it isi screened than there was in the original stage version. Miss Pickford of course, an unalloyed delight In th*j title role, but there are other outstand*] ing characterizations, notably the bib»! ulous Bummer Smith, so admirably ,por»| trayed by Theodore Roberts, the judg*' who is loyal to the "statoota." (Tully Marshall) and the school teacher en*I trusted to the dependable Thomai! Meighan. A special matinee showing of "M'liss" Will bp given Saturday, morning at 10 o'clock.
